What a great place. Russ was fantastic with my twin girls. We are a family of ‘foodies’, so going out and trying new restaurants is something we do quite often. We were made to feel at home the minute we walked in. Russ even let my daughters serve the table. They were thrilled! Food was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back and have lunch & dinner. This place is a must try if you’re up in the Betkshires.
Worst customer service. Stay Away! In my case, the owner submitted to the demand of his wife/manager that we pay over $10 for a mushroom appetizer we sent back untouched because it had an unusual ingredient I was allergic to. I offered to pay for the two salads we did eat and he refused. After he made a loud, inappropriate verbal comments in front of other customers I quietly offered to call the police and see what they think about his demand to pay for an untouched item. He became irate and demanded we leave, shouting WE don’t want PEOPLE LIKE YOU HERE anyway in front of my oriental friend who felt deeply insulted and abused. To top it off, to avoid a police report being filed documenting his unreasonable demand he shouted Get out of my place right now and put his hand on my shoulder. We are not alone in our negative reviews.
Hidden Gem. Such a great find! I’m only in the area once a year for races at Lime Rock Park, but I will make this a fixture of my visits from now on. The setting is warm and cozy, the staff is friendly and the food is brilliant. How can you NOT order one of their desserts when you seem them being paraded out of the kitchen? Food tastes fresh and the presentation is lovely. You must go.Update: if they have carrot cake… GET IT!
