Never Again!. Ive been to white horse a couple of times. The bar is dark & unfriendly. Don’t like the big bike at the bar. Would rather see a big tv or something. The food took forever to come, and wasn’t how described. The owner is rude & the host or some lady stood by the door drinking her glass of wine. She just looked unfriendly & wasn’t exactly presentable to be working there. Just not what I expected & definatly did not live up to it’s reputation.
Disappointed and not going back. I had been here a couple times and enjoyed the food and atmosphe. After my last visit, I’m not going back. It was a week night but packed as usual. We walked in and there was no host in sight. After waiting for a while we sat ourselves. A man I think was the owner came over to take our drink orders… but only took mine and walked away before my friend could order anything. A simple Absolut and cranberry was terrible… watered down with gross flavor. My friend and I came specifically for their vegetarian Indian dish, the Vegetable Korma. When a waitress finally came to our table, she told us they were out of the Korma along with about 10 other popular dishes. We settled on veggie burgers which were average, nothing to shout about. Service was awful throughout dinner. I ordered a martini I had heard good things about. I was wrong, it tasted like plastic. For dessert, the one thing that soundes appealing, they were AGAIN all out of it. My friend ordered a chocolate lava cake (something heated up in the microwave)… it came over 40 minutes later. We should have walked out after the rude server/owner and terrible first drink. What a disappointment.
A REALLY REALLY NICE PLACE. The food, the atmosphere, the service is absolutely great.The mussels, the prime rib, only on Fri. and Sat. the shepherds pie, the burgers are some of the best in the state.In fact you really can’t go wrong with what ever you order.They give you more than enough, in fact the appetizers are more than enough for two or three people. The prices are reasonable. Also a great selection of beer. Don’t miss the Indian motorcycle hanging in the back of the bar, or all of the other great stuff they have there. Warm weather eat on the deck.

My favorite place to eat with Amazing Prime Rib. The food is amazing at this place. Everything I have had from Mussels, Shrimp scampi, burgers to Prime Rib is just amazing tasting. The food takes a while so if you are in a rush this is not the place to go. It is a perfect place to go to have a relaxing meal that is cooked to perfection and perfection takes time. When it is warm out it I love sitting by the stream out back and the bar area has a great atmosphere. If my waist and wallet could afford it I would eat here every single night.
Former Marble Dale Pub. The former was good and the latter has gotten much better. Great selection of beer, good atmosphere, reasonable prices. Don’t waste your time eating up the road in Litchfield. White Horse is your best bet.
Pub Steak!. First time there tonight. Pub steak was incredible! Busy but comfortable atmosphere. A fun night out.
