Mediocre Italian. Walking downtown on Main St in Middletown, decided to try Amici. Bread with roasted garlic on the table. Good. In the mood for a Dinner portion Salad. Went with the Cobb Salad, sub Grill Shrimp and asked for sauteed Calamari instead of fried, and they happily agreed. Shrimp was grilled perfectly, Salad was basic, some of the romaine lettuce tasted unwashed…aka…pesticide flavor, hmmm…thats happened b4 but it was a really expensive salad at $16 with the shrimp and it was soso. Calamari was good, standard flavor. My date had stuff mushroom, four big ones to an order. Good filling. HisGrilled Pork with mushrooms in a marsala wine entree came with a salad and side choice, both looked standard, and his pork was overcooked and dry…who likes dry pork, yuck. Basic menu, nothing stood out…waiter was pleasent but frazzled and it wasn’t busy
I give up. After eating there many times and having one bad meal – service etc. That’s it
I love our waiter. I don’t know his name but he’s always so nice. He’s a little older. Anyway, I’ll tell you four reasons tI come back here (minus the cool waiter):Chicken ChristinaGreek SaladCannoliFrench press coffee
