Haven’t been in a while, but loved it…. I was surprised to see all the negative reviews, I went with family a year or so ago and even got my mother and stepdad a gift certificate to it for christmas! We loved it, I got fish and it was perfectly cooked with crispy onion skins or something on top. My mother and stepdad also loved their time when they went back with their gift certificate, we will try it again!
Not a good dining experience for the money. If I was going to a more inexpensive restauarant I would not have been dissapointed. My salad had ao much oil on it that it was dripping and mu husband’s meal was bland. Service was ok although they couldn’t pronounce the special’s ingredients correctly. Atmosphere was nice although they had two huge tvs with sports on. Wine was okay. Not worth going back to again. Dissapointed.
Worst NYE/restaurant experience. I guess we should have known when we went earlier this year and got the calamari at the bar… Totally freezer burned and disgusting… The menu looked pretty good and they were doing a NYE celebration (they are 2 miles from our house) so we thought we’d give them the benefit of the doubt… Turned out to be the #1 worst restaurant experience of my life… My husband and I love going to nice restaurants but this one was just a complete and utter mess all around…Dinner reservations at 8pm… ok, they were about 20 min late seating us, it was NYE, they were busy, no big deal. They seat us upstairs…. About 20 min after NOT having anyone aknowledge us to take our drink order, I flag down a busboy who runs downstairs, comes back up and goes about his work… Still no one… Maybe 10 min after that (and my face is all red, Im getting very angry at this point) I walk up to a waiter and let him know we have been sitting there almost half an hour and no one has taken our drink order. Normally I would have just left at this point but it was NYE and I wasnt going to let this be a bad night. Finally, a waiter comes to our table very apologetic telling us drinks are on the house. Great! So theyre making up for it and the rest of the dinner will be fabulous…. NOT SO MUCH. So we order the mussel appetizers, 2 caesar salads and our entrees (I got the burger with short ribs and lobster claw on it and my husband ordered the short ribs). OK…. About half hour after ordering the mussels, they finally come out. They were good. but thats about all the complimenting I have for this place. About 30 min after THAT I say to the guy clearing our table- we have been waiting half an hour for our SALAD. How long does it take to make a salad?! (Im not usually this rude but I was losing my coolness). He says to me ‘ sorry, we’re busy!’ Im like- ‘sorry youre busy? Its NYE you guys should have been prepared for this, and it shouldnt take > an hour to make 2 caesar salads. Finally our waiter comes with them. Nothing special, and certainly nothing that should have taken all that time to htrow together. I was so irritated at this point i couldnt even finish it. The waiter apologizes again saying ‘we are speeding your dinner up’. So it comes out… Its almost 11pm now mind you, we were sat at 8:20… I go to eat my ‘well done’ burger. This lobster claw it was supposed to come with was about an inch long and an inch wide. Wow… impressive. And to top it off… My well done burger was just about raw inside. My husband was so digusted with the whole experience and the fact that his short ribs were completely bland… Neither one of us ate our food. The waiter took it, and told us he showed it to the owner as well. They sent us a plate of desserts… thanks but no thanks. I basically was so completely disgusted that all this time, thru all this mess, not a single manager or the owner came to our table to apologize but just kept sending our waiter over to give us free stuff. Not a way to run your restaurant and clearly they dont mind reviews like this being out there. I was not paying full price for any of that food. Basically I told the waiter how disappointed I was that basically our NYE evening was ruined, that it was unbelievable to me that no manager came out to speak with us and that we needed to get our check and leave because I surely was not ringing in a new year at this place. We ended up paying about $8. Good thing because honestly I would have walked out if they handing me a full check.Bottom like- horrible food, horrible service, horrible management: DONT GO THERE.
Food was very good. Service needs improving. The waitress never offered to refill my tea.
