Amazing!. This place has the best cakes and desserts! They were nice enough to alter a cake to be perfect to my suiting for my birthday. The strawberry mouse cake (with a tad chocolate) was by far the best cake I’ve ever had. The white cake was very moist and the strawberry taste was perfect.I also tried the snickers cupcake and it wasn’t dry at all like other reviewers have said. The chai crme brle was delicious as well!I would always come back here for my bakery needs.
Mediocre. This was our first visit to the new premises which are much larger than at the former location though several feet removed from the heavy pedestrian traffic on Main Street. There are now several tables though only one was occupied during our visit. We had an expiring $15 SaveNowCt certificate to use. The selection was slim excluding some pedestrian sounding cupcakes so it took us a while to decide. We finally settled on large chocolate chip cupcake, lemon tart, pecan tart, a pumpkin square and some type a coconut macaroon. The chocolate cupcake was dry and the pumpkin square was almost devoid of pumpkin taste. We fared better with the 2 tarts which were good, not great. The last dessert, a coconut macaroon, was past its prime.14 Jul, 2012Good, but on dry side. We stopped in this bakery after dining elsewhere last Wednesday afternoon in order to redeem a Groupon for 6 assorted cupcakes. I noticed prices were lower than the competitor further up Main. We selected a pair each of chocolate, red velvet and carrot cake for takeout. The frosting on each was very good, but the cakes themselves were a bit on the dry side. I wish we could have microwaved them a bit before serving. Note: there was a sign posted on the window indicating the bakery would be relocating in August.21 Jun, 2011Convenient, but. We frequently lunch at the nearby Typhoon and then walk over to this bakery. You can watch them prepare desserts and everything looks wonderful, but nothing scales any culinary heights.

Delicious cupcakes. I think that the cupcake trend is so funny. I guess people need things to baked goods to buy and obsess over. If you have jumped on the cupcake bandwagon (and my sneering intro hides a cupcake devotee) go here. Actually, if you want some delicious baked goods and you are in the Middletown area, I suggest you stop in. This place is in a little mill looking shop which reminds me of Thorns Market in Northhampton or the mill shops in Sturbridge Village. The staff is always so polite and helpful and the place always smells so good. No matter what you go in there for, I guarantee that if you start eating the cupcakes you will be hooked.
I just finished my snack size cherry cheesecake(actually I’m guilty of eating two) and it was divine. My girlfriend ordered cherry streusel tart and that was delish. They do not use shortening and like the best desserts, some most contain less than ten ingredients! A must Eat!!
Perfect solution to a craving for something sweet!. Fusion Bakery has been open in Main Street Market for a few years, and every time I stop by, I’m delighted by a perfect dessert or pastry. With its location in downtown Middletown, it’s a great spot to stop by after lunch at a nearby restaurant.
