Less filling. Our lunch this week was the first since the restaurants move to expanded quarters. I personally found the older premises more inviting than this former bar. Our server was very pleasant though obviously new to the job. We ordered 4 al pastor tacos with guacamole (25 cent per taco up charge) that were served on one plate with our server bringing us a 2nd. There has been a decrease in the quantity of taco fillings since our last visit and neither of us detected the presence of the promised pineapple. Overall the tacos were drier and less satisfying than in the past.16 Nov, 2010Return visit. We had a craving for street tacos so we made the drive down to Iguanas for a 2nd time. My wife and I ordered a total of 4 tacos; 2 each carnitas and pastor. Each was very good, but we felt the pastor was the best. I have heard some people are confused on how the service works. You order at the cash register and your food will be brought to your table.05 Aug, 2010Muy bueno. My wife and I tried this tiny hole-in-the wall for the first time recently, arriving about 11:45AM, and finding more kitchen staff than customers, but 15-20 minutes later there wasn’t a seat to be had. We each chose two tacos with onion and cilantro – my wife pastor and grilled chicken while I settled on pastor and carnitas. We both agreed the food was excellent and we’ll be returning soon.
Omg! Amazing! The food, the service and the atmosphere was a ten out of ten! My husband and I love authentic Mexican and this is the place to find it! I ordered the chicken flautas and they literally melted in your mouth. My husband ordered the cheese and chicken enchiladas- just as amazing with their own mole sauce! I am literally Thinking of making a weekly visit. Everything is so FRESH! The salsa, chips, guacamole, beans, lettuce, cilantro and sour cream were out of this world too! Plus it’s a family run buisness and they are committed to their craft!
A long wait for bad Food. Sadly I choose this Mexican restaurant versus another one since I wanted to try something different. It took 50 minutes for the kitchen to make a luke warm carnitas burrito. They actually should call it rice and beans since less than 10 percent of the burrito had any meat. I love Mexican but I have to rate this restaurant as probably one of worst restaurants I have ever eaten at. If you want great Mexican go to Baja’s in Orange.
Not closed- reopened in Nikita’s old space. This is my FAVORITE Middletown restaurant. The Martinez family does a great job making the BEST Mexican in town- nothing else even comes close
I go there every weekend to get gorditas. The entire menu is suculento! Inexpensive, so tasty and the staff is the best. I can’t recommend it more! Just try it once and you’ll be hooked.
I enjoyed the food I had a pork sandwich I did think that they were a bit skimpy on the meat though
Lengua, cabeza and al pastor (tacos) oh my!
