  Best in Middletown. We had an expiring SaveNowCT coupon so we tried Mondo on Monday evening. The restaurant is larger than I expected from the photos on the website. There is a bar with 2 TVs, but unfortunately, most of the stools were taken or we would have watched the Women’s Olympic basketball teams exhibition game. The noise level was annoying with music playing, people talking loudly and a few screaming children. I was surprised that beer by the pitcher was not available so we settled on a pair of Blue Moon drafts. We ordered a large Mondo Bianco pizza with spinach that includes ricotta & mozzarella, garlic, fresh basil and white sauce. The crust was thin but not charred as you would find at a pizzeria that uses a wood burning stove. Toppings were fresh, but the combination would have benefited from the addition of fresh tomatoes. Our service was good, but we noticed 3-4 instances where food was delivered to the wrong table. Overall, we felt it was probably the best we have had in the Middletown area, but it did not compare favorably with New Havens finest.

  Waist Of TIME. They only like doing what they are supposed to do when they want to. I ordered food and they said they don’t deliver right now because they don’t want to. So I go down to get the food and there is about 8 employees standing around not doing anything. Real nice. Also the pizza taste like cardboard.

  Best Pizza in Town!. I first tried Mondo because I had a Groupon. And I didn’t have much hope, honestly. There are at least 25 pizza places in Middletown, and none of them are all that great. But Mondo is absolutely the best pizza in town! Thin crust, fresh ingredients, yummy sauce, and light on the grease! The staff is really friendly and welcoming, and they make you want to come back, too!

  Great place. This is more of an upscale pizza place. The atmosphere is nice. They did a nice job on the decor. They have many choices of pizza. My favorite is the thick crust Sicilian.The wait staff is very friendly and helpful.Salads are great also

  Bianco Pizza. An artisan pizza made with organic crust, and topped with a triumvirate of high quality cheeses: fresh mozzarella, goat cheese, and ricotta. The pizza was embellished with lightly caramelized red onions, toasted pine nuts, and truffle honey. The addition of truffle honey was delicious, adding a savory syrup dimension to the pizza. The crust was thin, soft, fresh, and had an indefinable melt-in-your-mouth quality. It was an excellently executed pizza; the flavor combinations were complex and truly delicious.

  AMAZINGGG. There mozzerella sticks and pizza were amazing, my friend and i are going to come back soon.

  Great new restaurant!. We had heard really good things about Mondo and decided to give it a try.Have to say that this could be the best pizza I’ve ever had- and I’ve eaten alot of pizza!.The freshest ingredients, wonderful balance of flavors and a crust that’s delicately thin but somehow holds up really well, adding just the right crunch.My husband raved about the bolognese sauce with pasta. It was served with a dollop of what seemed to be amazingly creamy fresh mozzarella, which just melted into the rich meat sauce. Very accommodating wait staff and management and an upbeat contemporary vibe as well.Looking forward to getting back to Mondo soon!
