Best Restaurant in Middletown. Been there numerous times and I think it is the best restaurant in Middletown, CT!Great appetizers, BBQ, burgers, sides and fantastic desserts!Price is very reasonable.I love this place!
Good food! Cozy! TV annoying. Pleasantly surprised that the BBQ was as good as the sides we tried. Mac and cheese, collards, coleslaw were all very good and nice homemade desserts. It is a small but cozy place but the big screen tv is a little overwhelming and takes away from the quaint decorated wood plank walls and tables. Hope they take it down and put up a nice piece of art instead.
First time we went was end of the night so we decided for a second chance. But there was no change even at 530. Food came out luke warm at best and they were out of several items already. This might be the best BBQ around, but wouldn’t cut it anywhere else.31 May, 2013Food tastes great, best BBQ I’ve had in CT. However, it came out cold, and it wasn’t busy. Also seems like they are always out of something, maybe they are just that popular, but a little disappointing.
The aroma, the taste, the atmosphere!. You can smell the aroma when your walking in from the parking lot. The rough sawn lumber tables make a great atmosphere. The owner came out and asked up how the food was and that is a treat to talk with him. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and it was great. I am picky with my BBQ and this place really hits the mark for me. I will be a regular now!! Great place, nice people, amazing staff, and fun place to sit and eat.
Worth the trip. Great smoky flavor. A bit dryer than I like, but the taste made up for it. Fries were standard and sides are small. Beans tasty but could’ve used twice as much. Very small so seating is limited. Very noisy inside at 6:30pm on a Friday. Might get take out next time.
Went there today. Hopes were dashed as it is closed. Suspected it wouldn’t last as the location is horrible. It was hidden behind an Ace hardware.
