Lukewarm. The restaurant’s lunch business on Wednesday was limited to 5 customers including us plus a single to-to order. We were promptly greeted and seated, shown to a booth and served water and menus. We ordered our usual red curry with chicken off the $5.95 luncheon specials section of the menu. It seemed to take a long time for our orders to be delivered and they arrived lukewarm. Also, the accompanying brown rice was dry and the overall taste of the curry was milder than we have experienced in the past. Overall, the meal was a notch down from what we have come to expect.07 Jan, 2012Excellent red curry. Whenever my wife and I get in the mood, about 4-5 times a year, for red curry with chicken, we head to Middletown’s Typhoon restaurant for the luncheon special. The owner/hostess warmly greeted us and told us to choose a table. She provided menus and poured water for us, leaving the pitcher on the table. On reviewing the menu we were not surprised to see that prices had increased since our last visit, but at only $5.95 per entre it remains an exceptional value. The red curry was outstanding as were the fresh vegetables, but the chicken, though bountiful, was tougher than usual. Overall, we were more than happy with our meal and look forward to the next time we get a craving for red curry.15 Nov, 2010Never disappoints. The $4.95 luncheon specials are a fantastic deal. We usually order the red curry with chicken or the basil chicken and have never been disappointed. Service with a smile is quick and professional. Highly recommended.
Good experience. Had a nice meal here last night. We shared the satay and coconut soup. Both were very good. I had the mango curry and my only heat choices were medium and hot and I am a mild kinda guy. I went with the medium and it was a bit hot for me but I enjoyed the mango curry alot. It’s my favorite dish in thai restaurants. My dining companion had a sizzling sukiyaki(sp?). It also was very good but not as hot as mine. It had good flavor. I had a thai pumkin custrad and stick rice for dessert. Something different for me and I enjoyed it. Despite the interior being a bit dated we both had a good experience and would enjoy to go back soon.
One of my favorites in Middletown. Reasonable and the food is delicious. The staff is so pleasant and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back there tonight.
Favorite restaurant. Food is fresh, light and flavorful. Portion sizes are just right. Great selection and friendly staff. Love it!
Before going to this restaurant I read many wonderful reviews praising it. When going there the staff was very friendly but the food was dissappointing. If u have a coconut in the food that is all u taste. Other entrees have no flavor at all and the presentation is dull. I will never go back to this resaurant
