The place is nice and smells great. Prices are not cheap. The NC pulled pork is nowhere near NC pulled pork; but, It was still very delicious. The ribs were very tough, slaw was bland, beans were good and so was the cornbread. Bring the prices and portions down.
A surprise!. I’m normally not a huge fan of barbecue but usually go because my partner really enjoys it. I liked this place because the meat was not swimming in sauce and the sauce was not super sweet. They have extra sauces available if you wish to add more. I had the chopped pork sandwich on a soft roll with a side on beans and soda for $9.00 . The place is huge, it takes up 2 storefronts in a strip mall. They must get really busy. We went here for a late lunch and there was a steady stream of folks still coming in. I would most definitely go back if I am up in the Groton area again.
Smoked corn beef sandwich. Ymmm. Burnt corned beef ends. Ymmm. And such nice people.
This place is totally epic! The brisket is awesome. We are stuffed but we just want to eat more and more!
I would recoomend this if you are looking for good food and casual atmosphere… A hidden gem
This place is a little hard to find, if using GPS. It’s nestled, snug in a corner, of a strip mall. I took my dad here on Fathers Day. The owner, who helped me with directions, was just as nice in person. The portions are just right and they have a great selection of sides. Prices are great too!I chose the Three Little Pigs, a platter of 3 different styled of pork, with 3 of their homemade sauces. The meal comes with 1 side and cornbread. It was hard to pick, just one. I opted for the very tasty baked beans.Dad decided on the Brisket and Burnt Ends with Green Beans and Baked Beans. He was very happy with his choices. His only complaint, was that the spicy BBQ sauce wasn’t spicy enough!Worth the trip and the extra 15 minutes, going in circles (Damn, GPS!).
Absolutely fabulous meat feast. Hot juicy barbecue on a man-sized roll. This place is a gem for anyone looking for a hearty plate of fulfillment. I don’t live in groton, but come whenever I’m in town. Don’t miss it.
