DO NOT TRUST THE POSTED HOURS I took my boyfriend to High Rollers at Foxwoods for Valentine’s Day 2/14/17 and we had a very negative experience. We live over 50 miles from this location, but I thought it would be somewhere different and fun. Their website says they are open until 11pm and the kitchen is open until 10pm. We arrived around 9pm and it was pretty quiet. We planned to eat first then bowl. After we were seated, I asked our server if we should put a name in to bowl after dinner and he said it wouldn’t hurt. It was not very busy at this time. I waked over to the bowling area on one side of the restaurant and asked a second employee if I could put my name in to bowl after dinner. She told me it wasn’t necessary since there were additional lanes on the other side of the restaurant that were also unoccupied. We ordered a meal, appetizer (which we had the server bring out at the same time, so we were not sitting for multiple courses) and 2 drinks each and spent over $90 with tip. The food was as expected and service was fine. We finished before 10pm and went over to the bowling section to rent a lane and shoes, but were told we could not bowl because they were running an update. We only wanted to bowl one game and certainly would’ve been out before they closed at 11 (still over an hour away) I asked to speak to the manager. I explained to the manager, Scott, that we had just drove over an hour to go to High Rollers because of the bowling and had spent a considerable amount of money on food and drink. Scott told us that we should’ve eaten in the lanes while we bowled. I explained to him that I had asked two separate employees about bowling after dinner and neither mentioned the lanes closing early or suggested that we eat in the lanes. Of course the employees may have not known they’d be shutting down early that night; but if they didn’t know, how did Scott expect us to know!
