My wife and I decided to give this restaurant a second chance. Our first experience was not favourable. This visit wasn’t much better. I had the herb encrusted chicken breast. Very bland and greasy. Presentation wise. No Color, white calliflower potatoes with crispy haystack potatoes. My wife had the salmon. She said it was ok. She was surprised to get a piece of avacado with the skin on it. Poor preparation. I had the wedge salad. Huge portion however, I was not impressed with the bacon. It was obviously prepared much earlier and refrigerated. Very overpriced. As for the wait staff, not very attentive to the customers. There are much better restaurants in Mystic. I am not planning on returning.
Pretty quiet on a Wednesday night, but food was great.
Pleasant Experience. From the friendly greeting of the hostess, to the view from the outdoor patio, including the food and service, we had a very pleasant experience. Our server, Wendy, was friendly and energetic, knowledgable about the menu, and very prompt and efficient. We enjoyed the beer from the Shipwreck Tavern and the variety of the wine list. The clam chowder was very flavorful, and the Lobster & Avocado salad was delectable.
Latitude 41 in Mystic is over the top when it comes to extraordinary service and out of this world food.We have been there for two events, a friend’s wedding, our companies’ business meeting and dinner and recently dinner tonight and as I stated it’s over the top.I highly recommend the Duck and Pork Shank dishes and the Chocolate Mousse Bomb for dessert. If you don’t go to latitude you are really missing out on a wonderful evening

Missed the boat. Grade: FWhen the Seamen’s Inne was changed to Latitude 41, they wrecked a perfectly good thing. The menu appeared to be the self indulgence of a young chef who is trying too hard to impress. Here is a Connecticut restaurant on the water with access to hour-fresh seafood. Instead of playing to their strengths–coastal New England fare, simple, fresh fish and shellfish–they tried to make it into a pompous New York restaurant. Even the visitors who come here from around the world know that New York is just down the road, and they can get that pretentious style of food there. They pass up a beautiful opportunity to enhance the experience for those coming to see Mystic Seaport. Instead, they’ve tried to appeal only to the wedding reception catering crowd. What a shame.
The best restaurant in all Mystic, Ct!!!!15 Sep, 2010Yes, let me make a possitive comment…I have been to Latitude 41 quiet a bit this summer and it,s fantastic!!!! Food was great and fast and friendly. I personally met a manager David who was very professional and top notch in my book. We usually dine in Watch Hill, but will be regulars of Latitude 41. Thank you. Sincerely. Jennifer
