Thank you for yet another wonderful birthday cake. This one was not for my guests at the Mermaid Inn, but for my sister’s 80th birthday. It was so delicious, rich, moist, full of flavor. Everyone loved it.
I have been to Lis’s three times now, and each time it seems to get better and better. The first time I went they had fresh pumpkin whoopie pies, which didn’t even make their way out of the shop. A few days later I thought I’d stop by and grab some breakfast, so glad I did. They had a fresh Pastrami, egg, and cheese on a croissant as well as a delicious strawberry danish. The great thing about this place is everytime you go in they have a whole different assortment to try then the previous day. Amazing!

THe food is excellent the owner not so much!. I took my family there and expected the owner to be more personable, she was more aggitated that we were there than anything. I have to say that the blueberry crumb cake was awesome! Im not sure if we will be back!
Heaven on earth. We spent 2 days in Mystic recently. I spotted Lis Bake Shop while out for a run. I just knew that we had to go check it out later in the day. I’m so glad we did. We had the most delicious lunch there. We had a red pepper and gouda cheese soup that was to die for. This accompanied by a slice on lovely, oozing 3 cheese quiche was truly the prefect lunch. However, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Lis Bake Shop is filled with the a wonderful array of mouth-watering cakes and cookies. The ‘Kitchen Aids’ appear to churn all day long in order to produce all this finery. I was just sorry that we didn’t have enough room to sample more! In a nutshell, a visit to Lis Bake Shop is a must when in Mystic. (The only downside I can think of is that there is not a lot of room to sit inside, but there is outdoor seating for fair-weather dining).
