By far the best ice cream in the area.
Nut allergy? Don’t chance it!. I thought the ice cream was very good, however, my husband has an allery to walnuts and pecans. He ordered a mocha chip ice cream and although the ice cream did not have nuts in it he started to have a reaction. I quickly realized they probably use the same scoops! Well they have one place for the ice cream scoops and so the nut oils contaminate all of the scoops. When I approached the young boy behind the counter to confirm my suspicion several of the kids behind the counter jumped to say they can not guarantee the nuts will not cross contaminate! Well, no signs opens the business to potential disaster! To me it seems smart to just have a couple different scoops and a warning for those with nut allergies.
You pay for the view.. The ice cream here is delicious. A little pricey, but I guess it’s all about location. It was nice on a hot day. They also have sandwiches, soups, and other desserts, but we only had the ice cream. Go at 40 minutes after the hour and watch the drawbridge!
Mystic Ice Cream. This spot, right on the drawbridge… it’s cute, but way expensive for ice cream. They have lunch as well; sandwiches, wraps, and paninis all grace the menu.7 dollars, plus tax for an average sundae is a bit much though..
Fantastic ice cream. The lines can get a little long, but it’s worth the wait. Sit outside and you might get to see the drawbridge go up.
