Not going back. I have patronized this place for over 20 years, first time back in 5. Seafood was OK. Onion rings used to be handmade batter now frozen breaded. Clams were OK. Rolls barely toasted. For a $70 lunch it was not worth it.
Fast and almost tasteless. Actually, tasteless would have been preferred. Lobster roll contained tiny bits of water-logged lobster with no flavor at all, with way too much celery and iceberg lettuce. Absolutely awful clam chowder. Skip this place if the taste of good matters to you.
What a great little place, so delighted with the food had a simple fish sandwich. It was so fresh and not greasy or heavy battered. So excited about going back.
Mystique. I have lived in the Mystic area for all my life, and have always enjoyed going to Sea View Snackbar. One of my favorites on the menu is the lobster roll. The lobster meat is always fresh and sweet, and it is not to heavily covered in mayo. I also love the fried whole clams, chowder, and they probably have the most succulent scallops around. I can’t wait each spring to drive by and see that they have opened, and I don’t doubt that I am always one of their first customer. Oh ya, the location is also beautiful. Looking for great food, nice view, and fair pricing……Sea View is the place to visit.
