You have to try the Skirt Steak. The skirt steak at Shrine is by far one of my favorite meals. Order that dish and a sushi roll and you are golden. The steak melts in your mouth and is seasoned just perfectly. My favorite sushi is the redhead roll, with shredded crab on top of it. My mom argues that the Surf and Turf, with the caribbean lobster, is the best dish. It is great, but I just love the skirt steak so much.

Can’t Miss Experience!. Located in the corner of the MGM Grand right near the walk way to Grand Pequot Tower, Shine is a two floor restaurant and night club. The restaurant has a mixed Asian inspired decor to go along with the menu. The Shrine delivers quality food and experience. The all-you-can-eat sushi special for $20 is a steal. Sitting at the bar, the bartender was very good in clearing plates, keeping my drink filled and moving on to the next round of sushi. The smaller sushi rolls were fresh. California and Philadelphia rolls were very good. The sweet, stick sauce on the shrimp tempura was great. The soy sauce was very salty to the point that it did not make the sushi enjoyable. Downstairs is where the nightlife is. Most nights has a live DJ spinning a mix of house, dance and hip-hop music.

Amazing experience. I was here on Saturday evening with my wife and we had the best night out we’ve had in a long time. The food and service was unprecedented. Our bartender Kelsey was very attentive and had a spellbinding presence. She helped us choose what to get for dinner and we were not disappointed. We ordered the mongolian steak and shrimp fried rice, which were both delicious. The atmosphere was enjoyable and although the menu items are on the pricey side, you get what you pay for. All in all, my wife’s and my expectations did not come close to what we actually experienced. Bartenders worked well together and made a great team. I recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

Beautiful and Delicious Dinner at Shrine. This is the most beautiful and peaceful restaurant I have ever dined in. The two story softly lit Shrine created an ambiance of dreamy relaxation. Their menu offers a wide variety of Asian Fusion from Thailand, China, Vietnam and Cambodia. I ordered the yellow fin sushi as a shared appetizer and the Miso Salmon for dinner. My date had the General Tso’s Chicken. Every dish, silverware and the tea was top shelf and awesomely presented. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Beautiful and delicious 😉

Shrine Dinner and Drinks. The meal was phenomenal, the sushi was fresh and the entree options were diverse. We tried a few different dishes and everything was great. The food alone would bring my group back, but on top of the meal was the atmosphere. Our table overlooked the dance floor of the club. It looked like a perfect way to finish our night once our meal was over. So we headed downstairs and enjoyed some of their signature cocktails.

Sushi at Shrine. Before I ate at Shrine I thought the restaurant that occupied the space above a nightclub would have nothing more than mediocre food for people to munch on before heading downstairs to the main attraction and good cocktails. I was wrong about both.. the food is high end and the cocktails are great. I’ve had sushi everytime I’ve been there and have yet to be let down. Their rolls are creative and the fish is always fresh. I’ve had a lot of sushi in CT, but none rivals Nobu in NYC and Douzo in Boston as Shrine does.

Its High End Mall Food. Shrine is the new high end Asian place at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. Its a gorgeous place with a bar/nightclub downstairs. The website would have you believe that unbelievably sexy people regularly get their groove on. Maybe, but somehow I doubt it.But the food itself is only OK. It basically follows the PF Chang’s school of americanized asian cooking. Meat in Sweet Sauce, Meat in hot sauce, Meat in hot and sweet sauce. Its not terrible, but its very expensive for what it is.
