Nice spot right on the water, tried the hot lobster roll and the lobster bisque, both were excellent and very fresh. The only real neg comment would be the lobster roll, the bun used is like eating a sponge and is a contrast to the quality of the lobster, a better quality bun would be a easy improvement.
If you are looking for a casual place with great seafood, this is it. It’s not fancy but the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is fun. This is an outdoor place and BYOB so pack your Chardonnay and sweater because it’s fun. The lines can get long but don’t despair, they work through th quicker than you’d imagine. You order at one window and pick up at the other. Grab a spot on the rail or picnic table and you’ll meet interesting people. The train runs through and you can see the envy in the amtrak passenger faces as you dig into your lobster roll. Lobster rolls are in two sizes and type; cold (New England with mayo) or my fav warm (CT style with warm butter). A large is only $16.95 and generously portioned. A little hard to find, it’s just off Hamilton near the yacht dealers and marinas.
Great location right on the waterfront. Seems a little pricey for the quality of the food and considering it is counter service. I had the RI Clam Chowder which was delicious and a garden salad also good except for the dressing, I asked for blue cheese, it came in a pouch and was quite watery. I also ordered the steamers which I was disappointed in, lots of sand and a few bits of broken shell made them really hard to enjoy.
Steamers. Steamed clams
Excellent seafood…all around. Definitely worth repeat trips!
Love being outside and on the water. Food is good and fresh.
Officially love lobster. I am from TX and wanted an authentic sea food experience visiting CT, and this place gave it to me. The staff was friendly and helped us choose some yummy dinner choices. The clam chowder was amazing and the lobster roll was out of this world. The atmosphere is very relaxed and neat to see all the docked boats in the harbor. They totally made my trip to CT memorable.
