Great food on the road. I travel from Boston from Pa from time to time, and always seem to find myself at Blue Colony. The food is always fresh and consistent. Me being a Philly boy and growing up in a predominitly Jewish neighborhood, I had to take home a cheese cake on my last visit. It was one of the best cheese cakes I had ever eaten, rich but light. AWESOME JOB WELL DONE. The Challah bread is very good as well..Service was quick and pleasant..I am also a chef of 29 years and have eaten at diners and fine dining restaurants all over the country. For a diner this is certainly what you want a diner to be..my 30 plus years in Philly has taken me in to NJ the diner capitol of the world, and this is truely as good if not better..good job keep up the good work..cheese cake a must….
Good Diner Food. Greek specialties are really good – great selection and the breads and pastries: rugelach, elephant ears, etc. YUM!
I agree that the diner serves average food. The staff seemed friendly enough to me, so I was surprised reading through past reviews containing complaints about the grumpy staff. My boyfriend ordered the fried seafood platter(photo posted) that he said lacked in flavor. I ordered the Greek Chicken Wrap (photo also posted) that I thought was pretty tasty.
A good place to stop.. We make frequent trips from New Jersey to Boston and always make it a point to stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the blue colony diner. The food is always wholesome, usually pretty tasty, and reasonably priced. Their desserts and pastries are out of this world.
Quantity over quality. About what you would expect from a Diner advertised on huge billboards on I84. Food is okay at best. I’d rather eat at places that appeal to the local customers where return business is their priority, rather than this place which clearly targets travelers.
Hello George. One of the best places to eat is Blue Colony Dinner!!!
Great respite for weary travelers. We always stop here whenever we’re traveling I-84, if only for a coffee and apple turnover. The food is good, generous portions and served quickly. The staff is not always the friendliest, but it’s a very busy place and they all work hard. We always pick up some yummy pastries to go, and the challah bread, when fresh, is heavenly!
