This place has the most authentic Mexican food around! It’s true the ambiance isn’t the greatest, but they also deliver (!) and anyway the delicious food totally makes up for it. I would totally recommend…There are just a bunch of families there enjoying the great food.
Worst family restaurant. When order take out you have to wait hours for your food to finally arrive, and besides that the majority of the time they get your order wrong. Customer service is simply terrible. Would never get food from there again.
Highly Over Rated. Went to Los Molcajetes the other night and thought I was in for a real treat. Sadly, this didn’t turn out to be the case. The 4 or 5 salsas they bring you to start out all tasted horrible in my opinion. My Gf and I ordered steak burritos which came out in a decent amount of time prolly 15 mins…. However, they were cold and very bland. To top off the experience the pina colotta my gf ordered didn’t get brought to us until we were done eating after we had asked were it was 2 times while eating. (pretty sure she forgot to put alcohol in it as well) So if you enjoy getting mean mugged by Mexicans and bad food than try this place out.
I love Los Molcajetes. Their shrimp sarandeados is my favorite. A lot of food for a great price. Their tacos are great too- classic Mexican. The al pastor taco is my favorite- plus the sauces on the table have heaps of flavor. I enjoy the food with a michelada- great Mexican beer drink.
Great tacos, cheap prices. The tacos here are really awesome, including the alambre. The drinks, though, are pretty weak and aren’t a strong point. The salsa, too, is a bit weak, but it’s okay. Seriously, go for the tacos and have a full meal with drinks for about 20 for 2 people. Super cheap! omnomct.com
Wanted to Like it More. I thought it was OK. Some caveats, I went alone, so only sampled a couple dishes. But what I had was only so so. The chips were bland, and served with what I can only describe as a Mexican version of kimchee in lieu of salsa. It was different, and I would assume reasonably authentic, though I am not an expert on regional Mexican/Latin cuisine.I had a mixed grill sort of dish. Decent enough, but on the bland side. Problem is, there are probably a dozen or so Latin restaurants (including some that are really just a table or two in a deli/grocery) on this stretch of road. I think I will hit some of these before coming back here.
