Awsome take out. If you are looking for take out this is the place to go in Norwalk. There is an outdoor terrace with tables looking out at the harbor directly on the water. They have burgers, dogs, fries, and all the fried seafood you can eat. I go often in the warm weather months and would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a quick inexpensive bit to eat.

I love Overton’s. They have great burgers and good fried clams. This place is perfect on a hot summer day because you can sit out on their deck looking at the water. My husband an I try to stop there whenever we are over on that side of town.
Poorly Done. This is a fairly typical walk up hot dog/clam shack. You order at the counter and go sit on the deck, or your boat, or wherever. Awesome view, really nice sunset.But the food was very poor. Nothing was appeared to be fresh or local. The cod on the fish sandwhich was one of those perfectly square, heavily breaded and fairly obviously prepackaged products. Fries and onion rings standard fare.Even the ice cream was bad. It was very grainy, as if it had melted and then refrozen.Its really to bad. I spend a lot of time in Eastern CT, which is loaded with great waterfront beach food, including my Favs the Dock and Captain Scotts. But I have yet to find anything nearly as good in Fairfield CT.
I love the fried clams at Overton’s. Couldn’t tell you about the rest of the food because I always get the fried clams! So good!
A Norwalk original since the 1940s, Overtons is a must stop. During the summer months, it is a hot stop for eventbody from families, to teens to people docking their boats for a quick bite. Skip it. Luckily I was passing by and didnt go out of my way. All of the food is fried and I dont think anything is fresh. I can get the same at costco.No Steamers, fresh clams – half shell / casino / grilled. No oysters. How about a Striper Sandwich? Compare to Reds in Point Pleasant NJ. which has awesome food.
