Our favorite place in Norwalk!. Tavern on 7 has become our favorite restaurant in Norwalk. Staff is friendly. Food is phenomenal for what you think would be standard pub fare. The fried zucchini is awesome and unusual. The tavern brew burger and buffalo chicken wrap are great and the French fries are hand cut. They always have awesome specials too and tons of beer on tap. They have lots of seafood specials that are always fresh. The only complaint is that there is sometimes not enough parking. Have brought friends many times and they loved it too. Love this place!!
Two nights in a row my husband and I visited Tavern on 7 with family because it was convenient while we were of town. The food was pretty good, but unfortunately the service was unbelievably terrible both nights – the waitress seemed irritated to have to be there at all, and even with pre-planning, they were unable and unwilling to really accommodate our large group on the second night and misty people left early – shame because we would have spent a lot more money there!

Good Food, but Expensive. Tavern on 7 is a good place to go to have a beer and watch sporting events on TV. The food is good, but pricey, as well as the drinks are pricey. The owner is a great guy and always welcomes people into the Tavern. The waiters and waitresses are the best I have seen. The bartender (Casey) makes you feel at home and never let’s your glass run dry. I have had most of their appetizers, salads, sandwiches and a few of the dinner entrees. I have gone for lunch there weekly and also at night to hang at the bar with fellow patrons. I like the Cuban Sandwich and the Ciabatta Grilled Chicken sandwich too! The Calamari and popcorn shimp are great. Thai Satay is one of my favorite appetizers, but again very small appetizer (for 1 person) and pricey. Their salads are very small, and when I mean small, if you get a salad entree (Classic Caesar Salad w/ Shrimp), you get 3 small (1 1/2 inch shrimp) laying on top. The owner expanded the parking into the Computer Business that is located next door. So parking is not an issue any longer. They always have some type of sporting events viewing at the bar, and special celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day and Halloween. They also Karaoke once a week. They also have Wi-Fi. They have outside seating on a patio with umbrella tables. Although they tout themselves as a tavern/sports bar, there are many children sitting at tables that are close to the bar area (and there is no separation). There is no children’s menu.
