Not What You Think. Another Restaurant (like another Fav of mine, City Limits in Stamford) where you have to know what you are getting. Southwest is designed to be a more organic, heathier twist on Southwestern food. Its not down and dirty Tex Mex. If you want that, go to the always satisfying Viva Zapeta in Westport.Rather, Southwest has delicious and fresh foods that focus on veggies. The tuna taco is awesome. Salads are great. But the menu is not a gooey cheese fest.
Very Good. A nice quiet spot with very few tables and a wonderful atmosphere. Their fare is New Mexican (as in the state) so expect a slight twist on the standard Southwestern menu. Food is consistently excellent with many vegetarian options available as well. Be sure to check it out.PS-above reviewer recommends IHOP while dismissing Southwest and Luc’s, so take her with a grain of salt…
