Beef and barley soup was 50% salt 50% canned beef broth. Barley was over cooked as well, and the crostini’s that came with the soup had more salt on them than the soup, they were greasy and stale too.

Definitely will be back. Ran in one Sunday morning to get some breakfast to go and was delighted to see and try a mini quiche that was just the right size, larger than a muffin but smaller than a personal pizza. It was spinach with a rich buttery crust that sent my cholesterol levels soaring before I even took a bite. The coffee wasn’t bad, either.I noticed a menu of interesting omelettes that I’m planning to sample. The food looks and smells fresh and the atmosphere is welcoming, like they want you to sit down and eat and talk and nurse a coffee and talk some more and then order dessert and hang around. The closest thing I’ve experienced to a European cafe. They’ve had a run of bad luck lately (car crashing through front door, robbed by a former employee) so I’m disposed to patronizing them just out of sympathy, but the food looks really good, too.

CafeOolala – Awesome!. I’ve been coming to this place since they opened 3 months ago. The food has consistently been great, coffee is the best in town. Filet Mignon sandwich, cobb salad and gelatto are my fovorites. Place is a little taste of Soho or Paris in Stamford.

Inconsistent? Bleh breakfast. You read about Cafe Oo La La and you read one of two reviews:1) It’s great, the food is awesome and amazing.2) The service is bad, the food is bland and boring.Maybe the food is good at times, but we didn’t experience that when we visited. The breakfast omelets were pretty boring and bland. Kris’ coffee was weak. That’s just reality people, deal with it. 🙂 Get a better cashier, add more spices and flavor to your food. omnomct.com
