Lasagna. Fresh home made lasagna!Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe. Thin home made pasta with Pecorino Romano, Parmigiano, extra vergin oil and fresh ground pepper al mixed creating a creamy delicious sauce!Best Italian restaurant!. I have tried many Italian restaurants but nothing compares or gets close to this little cozy place in Stamford. Food is amazing! Products the use to cook are coming directly from Italy. This expierience is all about quality. Every single dish reminds you a region of Italy. Ambience is beautiful with black and white pictures of an Italian actress back in the sixties. Wide variety of wines up to approximately 500 Wine lables. Happy hour is a must! With a great service and friendly staff this place is good for any occasion.

Rushed!. The food was average, the waiter and wait staff were incredibly rude with no apologies. The bill was incorrect. When we pointed this error out(9 cent bill!) in our favor, the waiter was dismissive as he had been through the entire meal. The plates were thrown down on the table and grabbed up as we barely finished each course. The waiter walked off many times as we were speaking to him in mid sentence. He was very dismissive throughout the meal. We felt very rushed. At one point one of us was bumped with plates passing by. Again, no recognition or apology. It was noisy and crowded with too many tables. We will not be back! Very disappointing…

Like the ambience and the wide wine list. Eating at the patio makes you feel like being in an old brick road in Italy. Food is so good. Is my favorite restaurant now!17 Jun, 2013Great food!. One of the best restaurant I ever tried. Great food, great service. Will go back!

This restaurant has certainly shocked the town of Stamford with its amazing food and decor. The staff is very friendly and the service is amazing. The owners are clearly experienced as are the people in the kitchen, they really seem to know what they are doing. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is delicious. I will definitely return with more people to share a great meal with.11 Jun, 2013A new gem in town !. A wonderful gem, relaxed atmosphere .. well prepared tasty food. We sat outside , and it felt like a bistro in Rome. Milan the head waiter was friendly , interactive m helped us choose the meal. but more than anything, it was food that far surpassed any other restaurant in Stamford, and was truly a little slice of Italy ..09 Jun, 2013Cotto has only been open for several months but this place is noteworthy for many reasons. The ambiance and decor is incredible. The food is beyond amazing. Started with an arugula salad, perfectly seasoned with olive oil. Prosciutto de Parma is unbelievable. The buratta is perfection. Fried calamari is perfectly fried with marinara sauce. Hanger steak cannot be beat. Pappardelle with wild boar is rich and tangy. Spaghetti carbonara is creamy and amazing. The owner Claudio is gracious and knows exactly what he is doing. I’ve never been more excited to give a 5 star review.

Good for Downtown Stamford. We love Italian food and Cotto hits all the high notes for us. We work and live in Stamford. This is our new go-to spot for casual antipasti and wine, as well as long, multi-course dinners. The space is cozy and the location is great – downtown, yet slightly off the main Columbus Park area. Pasta here is perfect – as is the brick-oven pizza and a long list of hot and cold Italian tapas. Laid back service, but always extremely friendly.
