Loved it. I don’t understand why this restaurant has such a low rating it is completely undeserved. I just had the best eggs benedict of my entire life and my client had a ham and cheese omelet which she said was perfect. The service was good I met the owner she has a tremendous story. The city tried to put this diner out of business and buy it for fraction of what it was worth in order to erect an apartment complex the owner fought back and won, don’t be afraid to try this place.26 Mar, 2015Eggs Benedict. Absolutely the best eggs benedict I have ever had in my entire life. The hollandaise sauce was perfect with just a hint of lemon, the Canadian bacon was great the eggs were cooked perfectly and the home fries were Obrien style.

This Is a great classic diner. Friendly staff, great classic interior, little worn but perfectly fine. Food is like most diners, I had eggs with links and tost and they were all fine. My son loved his pancakes. The lady serving us was the kind you wished you had as a grandma. Much nicer than the upscale hotel restaurants. Im glad we took the walk.
Trashy Diner. The food was ok. The staff was impatient and screwed up my order due to impatience, then gave me attitude when I asked for it to be corrected. The environment is depressing and felt dirty. I usually love diners, but this place took the stereotypes to the extreme. I will not be back.
Dining. Curley’s Diner is as much a part of Stamford as apple pie, motherhood , and little league. Leave it to the politicians to try and demolish an institution. Have not been home in 50 years but I can remember Curley’s as a great place for good service and well priced food. Also remember Burns Tavern in Glenbrook as a bar when people didn’t go to bars.
The food was ok and cheap. I like the fact they accept credit card. (big plus in my book) I heard about the place from a friend and I really thought it was going to be much better then it was. I ordered a burger and fries and I’m not sure I would get that again. The burger was like a pattie from Sams Club or something. I would eat there again but I would order something new. One thing I will say is the service was very nice and the food is cooked to order.
A Stamford Institution. Curley’s has been a thorn in the side of Stamford politicians for years. Despite their best efforts to curtail this business, they keep coming back. The fact that Curly’s has opposed the gentrification of downtown Stamford is a plus that merits support in my book. The food is standard Diner fair; quickly prepared and very reasonably priced. They are the place to go to when the clubs close down; and their chili cheeseburgers are to die for.
