The Best Chinese Food in Stamford. I’ve tried a dozen things from Hua Lin, and it gets better every time. Forget Stamford – this is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I’d sign a petition right now to evict PF Changs and move Hua Lin into that space – it’d be better used that way. Dumplings and lo mein are two highlights thus far. It’s on my regular takeout rotation, officially.

Yuck. I feel bad saying this because the staff are so nice but the food is awful here. My wife and I split the chicken with broccoli and the chicken was slimy and flavorless (was it really chicken?). After a couple of bites we gave up – it was inedible. The kids liked their fried shrimp, though. Just my two cents; your mileage may vary.

Average chinese. Ordered for delivery, the person on the phone was nice, not the usual communist service. The food arrived way too greasy and salty. Perfect for bluecollar taste buds. I could taste the msg when taking a sip of water. Still drinking water hours after the meal. The funny thing is that when I was eating the food it tasted okay, but afterwards, I felt gross and the stink of chinese food oil was disgusting. It seems difficult to get rid of that smell, kind of like how it’s difficult to get rid of the curry smell in clothes and hair. Unfortunately I get cravings for Chinese during the full moon and I have yet to find light, fresh authentic chinese food in the east coast. I’ll have to schlep to San Fran every month.
