Restaurant is open for only 6 weeks, so hopefully some things will improve. Conceptually, the focus is on BBQ/smoked meats which is the only place of its kind on the north part of Stamford. We visited restaurant for lunch. Very nice interior, and great patio covered with umbrellas, so it is comfortable to be outside but not in the sun.First we shared onion rings – the outside of the breading was nice, but the onion itself was undercooked and easily separated from the breading.Chicken tenders were nice, served with the light creamy sauce. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. There were quite a few problems with that dish. First, it was really small amount of pulled pork – I understand the rent prices and everything in Stamford, but still – the amount of pork in the $11.95 sandwich was miniscule. Also, the juice from the pork and liquid from the few slices of pickles which were on the plate made the bottom piece of the bun soggy and almost impossible to pick up – there are many things to be fixed with that dish.Side of plantains was quite tasty, and so was the side of mac and cheese. We got blondie and regular brownie for dessert, and those were good, served with very tasty ice cream. Both brownies were good, but Blondie’s was everyone’s favorite. Overall, the meal was not bad, but overall experience needs polishing. Service was friendly and prompt. talk-a-vino.com
