Stopped in for lunch on Friday. The restaurant was quite busy. We shared one of the specialty rolls, and it was outstanding. Miso soup was very good, and overall my sashimi bento box was excellent, with salad being a slight exception with watery dressing. Nice thick cuts of fish, excellent quality. The sesame chicken were okay, not great – for some reason they used dark meat instead of the white meat, and it just tasted too heavy. Very good service, prompt and friendly. Overall, definitely recommended for Japanese cuisine – Chinese is not that great. talk-a-vino.com
New management or ownership … terrible. We will never go back… went for dinner last night and it was awful. We ordered lettuce wraps as an app, it took a half hour to come out then 5 minutes later my boyfriends sushi roll came out and 30 minutes later my entree came out. People were walking out… a couple sitting near by both had chinese food and the ladies food came out long before the man’s. There were 5 tables in the place and 3 waitresses. Dirty tables everywhere and they were no where to be seen, they didn’t even speak english. When the couple complained and asked for the check the employees seemed to be confused as to what the problem was… maybe the fact that the food wasn’t served together. We will never go back… this new ownership or management has no business in this business!06 Feb, 2011Great Sushi and Chinese. Kampei is perfect for low key meal. I love the twister roll and the chinese food is great. The chinese food portions are large and the eggplant and chicken in garlic sauce is delicious.

If you eat there, the restaurant stinks like fish. Yes, fish. With lmited options that deliver…. try it if you must. Grade of C.
