Hit or miss. Let’s just get down to it: Laya’s Falafel should have great falafels. Look, it’s in their name. When we got delivery recently the falafel was overly dense, overly crisp, and was a hard rough mess. Normally we’ll down all our falafel, but we found ourselves stop eating them. After that, the meat from the mixed platter was pretty dry with the exception of the chicken. At over 20 bucks, it was disappointing to get that platter and only enjoy (and eat) the chicken. omnomct.com
Great. Fresh, delicious food and great, friendly service.
Big fans. We love Layla’s and the owner Dino! The food is always fresh and tasty and the service delightful. Wish there were baked falafel as an option, but the hummus and whole wheat pita bring us back each time.In the meantime when we’re not dining there, we’re inventing in our kitchen for http://www.twovegancooks.com! Check it out!
I am so Shawaful. I love falafel and shawarma and they have a shawafel creation. ah-mazing. I’ve only gotten both separately as sandwiches and then once combination. It doesn’t really compare to Israel, but it’s probably one of the best that I’ve gotten in the states (Mamoun’s in NYC is the best). Make sure to ask for the salads that you want in the sandwich.
Excellent food and friendly staff. If you go in winter, bring a sweater. Big portions; consider this when ordering.
Best middle-eastern food around. Amazing falafel, hummus, kibbe, lamb and the garlic sauce is to die for!
Best Bets. Chicken shawarma and the garlic sauce. Always get the garlic sauce, it’s fantastic.
