Mobile Surprise!. New to Connecticut, we’ve been looking for those great haunts that only insiders know about. Melt Mobile is now on my list! Who knew a food truck would have gourment grilled cheese sandwiches that caught Bobby Flay’s attention? But one decadent bite and it’s obvious Darlene is an entrepreneur with a great idea and a great menu.
8 zillion calories. And worth it. They were at an event in Westport the other day, not their usual location. We sampled several of the sandwhiches, including the Porkupine (pulled pork) and a meatball parmesian, which was really ground meat layered with cheese and sauce.Messy, messy, messy. I really dont know how people eat this dressed for work. But seriously good.

Melt Mobile opened early last night with Bobby Flay in tow. The tomato soup is creamy and delicious. The grilled cheese, too, is just amazing. You can build your own from their Original or pick one of their pre-made awesome sandwiches. 😉 They have a special opening today, 3/29, at 11:30. From then on, Monday-Friday, 11-4. 😉 omnomct.com
WOW. Went by last week and the food was great. Don’t remember the name of the sandwich but it was a cheeseburger with two patties and lots of cheese. It was terrific. Will definitely return for seconds.
