A Community Bar. Murphy’s is a great Stamford institution. They have a long history of involvement with people and causes in the city. In a town where every other place seems to want to cater to Yuppie Scum; Murphy’s doggedly remains reasonably priced. You are far more likely to meet teachers and people who actually work for a living, rather than the SBC set.The staff is friendly. One of the great joys of life in Stamford is Murphy’s outdoor seating during the summer months. A great way to spend an enjoyable evening under the stars.
