We came in from out of town and stopped at this place on a whim, after arriving at the rooftop section we sat at the bar for a couple drinks and a nice meal.Our bartender/server was Denisa, who gave by far the best service we have ever had. From suggesting a wonderful margarita, to mentioning her favorite courses, even spending time to talk and get to know us; she went above and beyond in every aspect.We don’t often give reviews, but impeccable service deserves commendations. Thank you so much Denisa!
We visited recently on a Sunday evening after an afternoon at the beach.The rooftop deck is clearly the main draw here.Good:Decent selection beer by the bottle but a bit pricey.Bad:Too few staff to handle the deck (1 server for 50+ people while downstairs was virtually empty). Server also got our drink order wrong and couldn’t remember what we ordered for food. I don’t want to be harsh on her though.Music to loud for any conversation that’s not shoutedFood and drinks took a while (they were busy)Calamari was overcooked but flavorful otherwiseCrab cake sandwich was doughy and seemed like not much crab (price wasn’t bad for size so that probably explains it).All aiolis and mayo based sauces were room temp and had a film so made me worry about holding temps and food safety. Yes, I ate them anyway.Fries were not remotely crispy.Summary: go here for a loud see/be seen roof top party with lots of polo shirts and lots of alcohol. Food is an afterthought. Will not be coming back.

Rude. I really enjoyed the sign of the whale until they were completely rude to me and when they promised me I would be let back in with a stamp when I went to the bathroom, shoved me to the back of the line and I waited an hour. The service was awful and the staff was plain rude. Upset with the hype
Good food but service needs to be improved. We tested out the newly opened restaurant and were in particularly drawn to the rooftop / outdoor space. It was too windy and cold to enjoy dinner on the rooftop. They did not provide any heaters, blankets to make this an enjoyable outdoor place. Down in the main restaurant area we asked for a table at the window (plenty of space still open). The waitress told us – I am sorry those seats are reserved but let me check. They were not reserved (of course) and she sat us at the table. Why the air conditioning was blowing at us at all times – I have no idea. It was not warm outside to keep the A/C running. We weren’t the only ones complaining about the A/C. Even though the food was very good, our drinks were sitting at the bar for at least 15 minutes before they were served to us. Too many servers with no direction to help their peers. And why did our server run out the restaurant to greet his friend who drove by with his car and ignored our request for the check? When we left, the a kitchen staff member was also seen outside in front of the restaurant meeting a friend instead of being in the kitchen. This restaurant needs improvements and better management in order to stay in business.
Great view. Nice place. Staff suck…forgot the order and didn’t apologize…this is the fifth day they were open. Food was mediocre. Definitely a place for drinks only.
