I love Barcelona. The tapas experience is always fun. Their sangria is good too. And we always have great service. Sitting in the bar can be a bit loud, but it’s quite lively and fun. One of my favorite spots in West Hartford!
The service was great and the food was tasty as well. Good wine selection. We had 4-5 tapas plates so we could try a number of things. The empanadas were probably our fav!
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was amazing! Best tapas restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food is pretty pricy but definitely worth it. Their sangria is great too. Definitely come here for dinner the next time you’re in Blue Back Square. My favorite tapas are Patatas Bravas, the Spiced Beef Empanadas, and the Mussels al Diablo, and the veggie Paella is a great vegetarian option.
Hidden Gem. Would have never found or noticed this place if not for a co-worker that took me there. Good menu, loud ambiance, and great food. Enjoyed several of the tapas that were all interesting and high quality. A little pricey, especially on drinks, but will keep Barcelona in mind for special occasions and be back.
I had high hopes. I came here for New Year’s eve and was very excited upon arrival. The menu looked good, my husband and I ordered a few different tapas and I had a salad. The salad was really good, (loved the olives). The fried potatoes tapas was very disappointing, I must have read the menu wrong because it was a bunch of uneven cut potatoes, deep fried on a plate smothered in a tomato sauce and a mayo based sauce. Battonet cut potatoes would have been MUCHHHH better. The service was horrendous. One of our friends had to ask about his order for a beer three times before he then received 2 at once. Everybody at the table received all of their hot food while another one of my friends waited an additional 10 minutes for her salad… SALAD! Their kitchen staff was running food to tables, (I think it’s time for new servers) Speaking of servers, the two males we had were quite rude and very cocky as if I was not a paying customer and they had better things to do while they hid out chatting to each other. I am also still not sure why drinks were $2 more at the dinner table then at the bar. Our party of 14 probably spent close to $1000 since we were there drinking all night. Needless to say I will not be returning, there are much better establishments in the blue back square area.
Terrible service! I had a reservation for 8:45 to celebrate our friends birthday party. When we got here we had to wait for and hour to get a table. Why would you take reservations if you do not have the capacity to accommodate people? Simply horrible! That is a sign of poor planning and bad management.
Great place. Strange location. Food was SOOOO good. Almost don’t want to rate it so other people won’t know it’s there.
