This place has been around for a long time, and my first visit was back in 1972. I recently heard that it had been sold, and will be closing up for good — last chance for a split dog!
Food is overpriced. Portions not great. Can do better at Stowe’s just down the street. Probably survives on the reputation it used to have.
The good – portions are huge French fries were good. .The Bad – over priced, Fried whole clam had no flavor, to much batter, fried shrimp had no taste, to much batter, only the fish fillets had some flavor but still to much batter.
the hotdog was fine. Lobster roll was imitation crabmeat with margarine or butter substitute, quite a disappointment. All the fried foods were extremely greasy. will never go back or recommend- suggestion keep on dring for 1/4 mile to Stowes!!!!!!!!!!
Couldn’t believe the size of the hotdogs, burgers and fish sandwiches! So generous and so delicious. I had grilled swordfish sandwich and could not finish it. Cash only but they have an ATM.
