Lovely restaurant with incredibly friendly staff and management. I imagine it must have a great atmosphere later at night. I have only had lunch there…

Our favorite hangout.. Leave your pistols at the door Gringos! This place is all about a good time. 50 different kinds of tequila, dynamic and inventive dishes, great service and a rustic south west decor that creates a sublime aura. The festively lit patio with its open flame heaters and hacienda style adobe fireplace are a great place to dine or gather together- especially on a rainy evening! And Maria, what can I say, she’s the best. She just has a way of making you feel more like family than a guest. Day or night this place is a break from the mundane.
Poor service. Over priced food, extremely slow service despite the restuarant being empty and server added tip to the check without authorization
Below Expectations. Restaurant has an enviable location. Services are slow, excessively slow. Portion of food served is less than satisfying. Quality is average. Mexican authenticity fails to exist, either in the food or in the ambience. Overall, the food is NOT worth the price being charged. It will not rank high on my list of places to eat or to entertain friends.
Keeps getting better. We have now dined here 4 times and each time the service and food has improved. Our last dinner this past weekend was on a Friday night after the movies. It was packed. Service was excellent, the food was great and we tried 2 new dishes. The grilled Octopus and the Lobster Enchiladas and both were delicious. The drinks were not. Ordered a specialty Mojito and it was too sweet and way too much mint. I have to say there was a couple next to us easily in their 80s, sipping Margaritas and chatting away and it was 1030. We were ready to leave and they looked like they were just getting started with their evening.
Potential…but disappointed. The waiter took forever to get our drinks and check in on us. Food was tasty, but ridiculously pricey. Sangria was great. Just too expensive.Felt gouged for the price. $23 for 3 small taco’s and no sides? It’s mexican food people not prime rib! I left hungry. food is good, but the prices are too high to make it a regular spot.23 Mar, 2012Potential…but disappointed. The waiter took forever to get our drinks and check in on us. Poor Service. Friday night 2/3, 7:00 pm. Bar packed, dinning room packed. Sat down and ordered drinks, 10 minutes later waiter took our meal order, 10 minutes later apps came and still no $12.00 mediocre margaritas! Two bartenders (for whole restaurant) that cared more about their bar tips then what was going on in dinning room.
Obnoxious!!!. They charged me $18.00 when I ordered a basic Margarita on the rocks. I told the waiter I didn’t want a specialty Margarita (they ranged from $9-12.00 on the menu), just a basic one. When the bill arrived (we had ordered 4) it was $72.00. How obnoxious! The same thing happened at the table next to us. Maybe in NYC when you order a port or champagne but not in Wilton CT! Food was ok. with that attitude, there are too many other good restaurants in the area that don’t take advantage of their patrons. We won’t go back!!!
