  Love this place. Great food, great atmosphere. Lobster mac and cheese is awesome. My winter favorite is the short ribs. John at the bar has a great way about him. Go, enjoy!

  Never ended up eating here. Interesting to write a review for a restaurant I’ve never eaten at, but that’s the case here. One day my wife and I were off from work and doing some local shopping. We decided to stop at this restaurant for a drink and a quick meal. Some friends had eaten here before and we had various reviews, but they were handy and we thought we’d try it out.We walked in and were met by a manager/maitre d’ type and he asked if we would like to be seated.I said we would prefer to sit at the bar and he immediately rolled his eyes and in the most snotty voice imaginable said, ‘We DOOO have TABLES.’ I paused for a moment and decided not to patronize this restaurant. We said no thank you and proceeded to leave.This individual actually followed us out to the car – I expected that he would apologize but instead he sneered and gave us additional bad attitude. We left and definitely will not go back.

  Been to pecks since they opened , We go there 8-10 times a year. My extended Family and myself , live in ct and nyc , and dine In NYC weekly. Our last 2 experiences at pecks resulted in having to return our orders due to … Over cooked burgers, over cooked fish, and this one was really bad… Pad Thai soaked in vinegar, And tasteless. We love eating local and always the atmosphere and staff there are wonderful. . But , what’s up with quality control?

  The worst dining experience. I insisted we go to Good news cafe to my husband even though it is a good half 40 minutes from our home I must say that the food was average , not great for the pricing. The waitress or hostess handed us two filthy menus when we sat down. Not a great beginning.She came back about 10 minutes later to take our drink orders. Then another 15 minutes to take our dinner order. I did not mind the wait. But we waited the 15 for the drinks. We ordered Oysters she brought the oysters with no additional plates- I had to chase the waitress down to get the plates. The second course, salads and they were fine no problem. She took our forks and never brought them back- so when the third course came, appetizer’s, I had to chase the waitress down for silver ware. The main course came and I had to again go find new silver ware. The waitress had not come back to the table. This was all brought out by the bus boy. The last straw was when I had to chase the waitress down to get a second cocktail after our dinner was served. I could not get out of the place fast enough. We left and went to another restaurant for desert. Fine dining I don’t think so..

  Meh. Over priced. Over rated. Got seated elbow to elbow, noisy, pushy service, amazing food but can get just as amazing food somewhere else minus all the interruptions…
