Dinner 1/3/14. Party of 8, 6 dinners very poor, fish dishes over cooked, veg severed under cooked, wrong orders severed. Talked with manager the following day to discover what the problem was as had good meals there before. He was quite unresponsive , said he would get back to us, and never did. Place may be under new management. Will never return and will so advise our Friends
For unsuspecting out-of-towners looking at the high rating, I pretty sure it’s popularity is due to the early bird special. This is heavy, fried food, instant mashed potatoes, frozen vegetables and glacial service. The staff is nice enough, charging what they do for what they serve is criminal.
Outstanding atmosphere for a sophisticated good time with great food and friendly folks. Loaded with locals and regulars. Service was a bit slow as they were very busy but overcome by positive attitude. This is a must visit for those visiting southern CT.
AWESOME!! I haven’t been here in 10 years , but it did not disappoint .the waitress was efficient and knew her menu well. I had the red snapper with vegetables and it was excellent . If we ever get back to Milford, we’ll be back at Scribners.
Great menu to chose from, food turned out to be as good as the menu appeared. Might be a little pricey for some, but was worth every cent once I got my food.
