In town for a conference, my wife and I sought out this small Caribbean place in downtown Dover. We ordered Oxtail and Goat Curry. Each comes with rice, cooked vegetables (cabbage, green beans, corn, carrots) and a piece of plantain. The oxtail was falling off the bone delicious. The curry goat was also very good…I’ve had Mexican goat before but the curry gives this meat a different flavor. We also ordered a small beef pie, which was a little spicy and delicious. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a visit.
Dennis/Aleita king. Food was so good, we thought we was back in NY…. Oxtail, rice&peas, plantens, cabbage just slamming. Will be back
Authentic. Very good food, very authentic, and large portions. Order ahead being a small carry out place if you order there you might be in for a wait if they a re really busy. I would give them an easy 4 out of 5 stars for authenticity and quality.
Best jerk chicken I’ve ever tasted…. One of the best things we ate while in Delaware was a large order of goat curry, chicken curry and jerk pork/chicken from this small carry out, all accompanied by cabbage, rice and peas. Everything was delicious, but the jerk chicken and pork stood out for its amazing blend of spicy/sweet/smoke flavor. The goat curry was much milder but also excellent, very tender chunks of meat and very few bones. The only thing I’d change is ordering a separate side of fried plantains. I love them and thought they were supposed to come with the meal, but didn’t find any when we got back to the hotel. Maybe it’s just as well though, because we stuffed ourselves silly as it was and still had leftovers for the next day.
Jamaica 1 love! Thanks for opening in Dover. No place better in the state, might be easier to catch a 3.5 hour flight south to find similar product. Would like to see some coconut milk in the fridge or even some Ting. Respect
Great Food. Friendly People. I love their food. I spent one summer in Guyana and I really miss thr curry dishes. They have quality food and geat prices. I can’t wait until they add roti to their menu. Anyone out there know how to make good roti? You could become a vey busy person!
