From the outside, Franco’s looks like it could be just another takeout pizza joint, of which you could probably find two or three in an average town. But you walk in to find that it’s actually a pretty nice sit-down restaurant with table service. And you start off your meal with Italian bread and olive oil for dipping, just like a fancy restaurant.Like an ordinary pizza place, Franco’s focuses on pizza, subs, and pasta, but everything is just raised up a notch or two. Also, the portions are huge. I had a SMALL eggplant parmigiana sub for lunch, and it had to have been about 14 inches long. It was filled with a generous amount of thinly sliced eggplant, topped with a rich marinara sauce, and plenty of melted mozzarella cheese. My wife and son split a SMALL stromboli, and it would have been enough for all three of us. They had it filled with steak, cheese, mushrooms, and onions, and it was tasty, with a nice crisp crust. A big bowl of sauce came on the side. The servers at Franco’s are also very friendly. We had Marco, and he was great. But I need to call out one of the waitresses, as well. She had just finished filling a big load of salt, pepper, and cheese shakers and was setting them out on all the tables, when she accidentally knocked over the entire tray. Some of the cheese shakers broke and there was glass and cheese everywhere. I would have totally blown my stack, but she kept her cool and cleaned up the mess with a smile on her face. I have a feeling she could deal with the most challenging diners with ease. The only downsides for me were the breads. The Italian bread that started off the meal was kind of dense, whereas I would have preferred a crusty bread with a light interior. Also, the sub roll wasn’t really very tasty. Fix those, and this review is a 5.

Best Italian Around. I have tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed me in the slightest. I’ve gone all different days of the week and never once have I had a problem with the service or environment. You cannot pass this restaurant up.
