Unhappy with Diamond.. I love breakfast at IHOP and on our visit here, the food was as we expected it would be except for a couple over medium eggs that were cooked very well done. The real problem was the service. It was obvious the other servers were doing their job well and ours just wasn’t. She never once came and asked if we needed anything(or the couple other tables she had that were around us). When we needed something we had to flag her down when she actually came out of the kitchen area and then ask her. I asked for a half and half tea because I told her the tea was WAAAY too sweet and she dropped off a cup of half tea, half lemonade. More than ten minutes went by without us ever seeing her and I ended up asking another waitress for a half sweet, half unsweet tea. I felt bad for the other tables in her section because they were faring just as bad. I think with a different server we would’ve been much happier.
Since the manager has changed I enjoy ihop much better. Nicer people, good service.
Took some drunk friends here around 3AM one night. The server was nice and the food was great but when we got our bill the first time they had double charged us gratuity. When I pointed it out they took the bill back and double charged gratuity again except changed the name to cheeseburger or something like that but it still said 15% the waiter first tried to tell us it was for a special way we had order our burger but I pointed out the special burger on the receipt and he promptly changed face and fixed it. So with all that said, the waitstaff is dishonest and may try to take advantage of drunk people.
Trashy. We stopped in and what a mistake. It was full of rowdy, loud, offensive, college kids. Two started yelling, swearing, and screaming at each other. Like a fight was gonna break out! The manager came in and I thought she’ll throw them out. All she did was collect their dishes!! Never said a word! The food order was all wrong noboday at our table of four got what they ordered. The grits were awful. The eggs overcooked. Terrible
