Can I just start off by saying the dinners are amazing… the Marisa special is by far my favorite choice I have always gotten that special and it fulfills my hunger! Dont get me started on the wings, they are to die for. Always fresh and their frying oil is very clean unlike other restaurants. Definitely recommend this restaurant to visitors in the Dover area.
Disappointing take out order. Well, I’ve just read all the other glowing reviews. My recent take out experience was not good. I ordered at 3pm on a weekday. The fried calamari was way overcooked and rubbery and the creamy crab soup was separated and not creamy, and had no lumps of crab in it. We also ordered Italian wedding soup, but they make it as a tomato soup, which is not how Italian wedding soup is made, and was not what we were expecting. Didn’t seem like very authentic Italian to me. I ended up throwing the calamari away. You can only chew for so long before you conclude that there just isn’t going to be any way to swallow what’s in your mouth. Sorry, Vincenzo’s, I like to support local family businesses, but the food just wasn’t good. I had previously had the creamy crab soup for dinner (not take out) and it was superb. Don’t know what happened with this take out order. Something went wrong in the kitchen.
