Skip it. Don’t be fooled by the ‘dive’ vibe about the place. It is more accurately described as a dump. Beer was cold, but food was terrible. Crab soup was way too salty. Shrimp in the scampi was not remotely fresh. The only thing I ate that was bearable was the crab cake.

Great Food. While I can’t comment on the crabs (which needless to say is the main draw), I can say that everything else that I’ve tried is fantastic! The crab bisque is not always on the menu, but it is easily the best that I’ve ever had. In addition the crab nachos (which are also not always on the menu) is also great – the tortilla chips are home made, and piled high with crab meat. Honestly, everything is great, and the beer prices are dirt cheap! If you get the chance, check them out, call ahead and see if they have the crab bisque on – it’s worth the visit!

Crabs smell like ammonia!. Everytime I go to Lestardo’s there are AT LEAST four or five of the dozen crabs smell like ammonia which means they were already dead when cooked or way past their prime. Also, the service is horrible. They waitress always forgets to get your drinks. you wait 10 minutes just for a beer and they bring out crabs WITHOUT butter THEN ask if you want butter then forget to bring it!!! It’s just crabs! People want beer and butter. Not complicated. But for this place it apparently is. This happens EVERY time. I go cause my boyfriend wants to go and I try to not get angry with the bad service and smelly crabs. Flown in fresh? Flown in dead is more like it.

Great Crab Shack. This is the only crab shack I visit when I am in the area.I called ahead and the owner answered the phone. He advised me that they were only getting one box of crabs for the evening and that we should get there early. The place has butcher paper on the tables and trash cans for the crab shells. They get crabs all year long. They have them flown up from the Gulf in the winter. They can’t be any fresher, we saw them being delivered to the restaurant. They even brought them out for us to look at before cooking. The food is fabulous. I can’t recommend it any higher. Please go see them, you won’t be sorry.

Those were the best crabs I’ve ever picked. A little expensive, but fresh crabs from the golf are hard to come by. The staff was GREAT. The enviorment really added to the experience, it was clean yet I didn’t mind getting messy with my dinner. Last but not least the crab queso was to die for. I would recomend this place to my family, friends, and co-workers.
