We came, we ate, we left hungry. Food was good but portion was ridiculous. Service pretty poor. Don’t think I’d bother to come back unless I’m totally stuffed walking in the door. Nice ambiance. Liked sitting outside.
No Spice. We ate up on the deck which has a lovely atmosphere, drinks were great. We got the pomegranate and hibiscus margaritas – fantastic! Guac was good but the salsa was weak with no taste. We got the special of the night blackened tuna tacos and short rib tacos. Again, absolutely no flavor. Very disappointing.
Everything from margaritas to guacamole was below mediocre. If you want Mexican go to 1 mariachi , 2 dos locis 3 purple parrot, 4 clientro and then choose another cuisine. We had chop salad with shrimp and sloppy joe enchiladas. The best thing was the shrimp and they were too salty. Salsa, chips, guacamole were nondescript.
Awesome food, drinks, and friendly staff. You gota try the nachos.
Great atmosphere and drinks, food was awful. Loved the upper porch drinking sangria and margaritas. Food huge disappointment. Tacos dry and bland.
What a welcome addition to the Matt Haley family!. Went to Papa’s tonight – amazing! The staff was so friendly and on top of their game. The menu choices are well planned and executed – as we looked around at what was delivered to the nearby tables, the patrons were deservedly pleased – great presentations! The actual menu is easy to read, well documented, and the servers are full versed and experienced re: each listing – a true credit to the GM Mike. I guess the most telling is how the plates look as they are cleared from the tables, and we saw only clean ones – Matt and Doug(the corporate chief) are on top of their game. This is the seventh time we have been there since it opened, and each time we try to order a different item – we have only left happy. If you and your party want a night to remember in Rehoboth, go and enjoy. Chris makes the best margaritas! Great staff, great food and drink, an amazing view from the roof top seating, and so many reasons to return.
We had a difficult evening at Papa Grandes Rehoboth. Menu is very hard to read. Waitress was very hard to understand and did not speak English well. The worst part of our experience was that my friend and I both wanted the sangria. So, we asked our waitress how big a pitcher of sangria was and how many glasses it filled. She told us a pitcher fills 3 to 4 glasses, so we thought the pitcher was the perfect size. However, when she brought out the I pitcher it was apparent that this was larger than 3 to 4 glasses. Throughout our (now) long dinner, we discovered the pitcher fills 10 glasses. If the waitress had told us how large the pitcher actually was, there is no way we would have ordered it. As a warning to all, I would not recommend thisRestaurant. The service was clearly an issue and the food (and sangria) was subpar.
