Ruined Wedding Reception with no response from Management. I am emailing you to express that what you and I discussed was NOT delivered. Of all the details of my event-I wasnt worried about the Culture Pearl-as we have been dining there for years-and never had any issues-but I was wrong. Here are just some of the events that followed: On-8-3 received a call from a hostess who didnt know what to do with our name favors-and there was a diagram of what I was requesting attached-and when we dropped them off it was explained then as well Arrived to the Restaurant around 745-where I was greeted to a very rude and condescending/over-whelmed/frazzled John Cmar-I asked John if I could go up-stairs and open a bar tab for my party while we waited and he said NO its too crowded-well it wasnt-wouldnt the restaurant have wanted the revenue? We were told our table was ready right around 8-which was great-until we got to the deck and we were being told to sit on the LEFT side of the gazebo-in the middle of the deck-it was NEVER discussed to change the original location-we confirmed with the hostess that we wanted to remain with our original request if John couldnt accommodate the front gazebo John was summoned to the deck-where he yelled at me for the first time-I dont know what to tell you…you will just have to wait until other tables are finished to be moved and that could take hours He told me that the hostess was under the impression that we wanted to sit up further-that was NEVER mentioned…even below you confirm the RIGHT side Obviously we had no choice but to sit at the table-I was very upset-not what I wanted at all-candles were not lit-the wine buckets and beer buckets you promised that would be waiting for us-were not there The waiter was NOT informed on any of the details of our party-he started taking individual drink orders-then came out 25 mins into the seating-and started pouring 12 wine glasses-again I kept telling him NO we only needed 5 glasses and we could just pour ourselves and kept asking where the beer was 40 mins into the seating-the waiter came out with 2 six-packs, 12 beer classes, no ice buckets and the WRONG BEER I told the waiter that wasnt what we ordered-or how it was supposed to be presented…kept telling him how unhappy I was The waiter came back and said that the bar only had 3 Kirin Lights-and that we would have to take the Sapporo Light that he had previously bought out One hour after being seated-my husband-the best man-and our beer drinkers-had their first drink…one hour…when it was supposed to be waiting for us when we were seated… About an hour and 15 mins into the event-the waiter tells us-I just read the emails and I am so sorry that things are going so badly Did I mention the waiter served champagne to my 4 year old and the 18 month old at the table? At that point-the waiter did genuinely try to make the table happy-not sure why the waiter was not educated about the party prior We were finally served salads-around 920 At 930-I had 2 friends that had to leave without even eating dinner-I was embarrassed and mortified-thank you cultured pearl-why did it take an hour to serve buckets that were supposed to be waiting for us..why did we bother to pre-order? Around 1015-John came over to check on us-saying are things better now that we were off to a rough start? And I said actually no-my whole table was fuming over how we had been treated-I started to tell him that you didnt even have the beer we ordered and the waiter knew nothing of the details that we were promised…and he started yelling at me in front of my guests that it wasnt their fault that the beer didnt arrive on todays truck-well it was my fault? John was very arrogant-does not know the first thing on Customer Service..he argued with me on every point-my 70 year old mother had to ask him to leave the table-that this was not the place to discuss how disappointed we all were..John eventually left but not before he backed talked my mother and other guestsRobert-you have lost customers here-there were 5 couples at the table who come to the Cultured Pearl every year. My friends wanted to take to social media to voice their complaints-but I asked them not to-that I was going to email you directly. John and the lack of attention and the fact that what we were promised was NOT delivered RUINED our evening.Again as a professional-I wanted you to understand that I would NOT want someone like John Cmar representing my business-quite frankly I have never been treated more rudely by a restaurant in my entire life. Looking forward to your response….
Evidently they don’t know anything about sushi! Extremely rude wait staff, so overated!!
Would not recommend to anyone who is used to real sushi. They serve fake wasibi. It’s brown and won’t dissolve. The manager wouldn’t tell us what it was made with
Love this restaurant! Just recently went there for a special birthday and there were 12 of us. The waitress was excellent and the staff very attentive. Most people got sushi. Food was enjoyed by all! I would highly recommend!!!
Should have eaten there sooner. Was told it was great and we thought too! Good service. Extensive menu which server helped us navigate to excellent choices. The most incredible cream of crab soup, now my all time favorite. We grazed and had a terrific dining experience. Loved it. Thanks
Food is fabulous. However I paid with a credit card, and received a Facebook friend request a few hours later from the waiter at my table. I was on a date, and really only talked to the waiter about beers. It’s a problem that he thought it was okay to take my name off of my credit card and search me with it. I definitely feel like my privacy was invaded. Amazing food but terribly unprofessional wait staff.
Great happy hour. Reduced priced sushi and drinks???? Need I say more. Very fresh!
