Good FAST FOOD style mexican. I like this Taco Bell location. It is open late and they have some tables outside–which is nice on a warm summer day. The tacos are skimpy–just as with any Taco Bell, but I can’t help it–I like them! The service here is usually pretty fast & accurate. However, it can get packed late at night on the weekends. It is a nice quick stop to feed that taco craving.
No, I’m not kidding…. That’s right, the guy who advocates fresh ingredients and local businesses and restaurants likes Taco Bell. I know, it doesn’t make sense…But there are times when I have to work late at the store, and I just don’t have the energy or time to cook at home. Taco Bell has become our fall-back joint. It’s cheap, and it’s predictable.It’s something else, too. Rehoboth Beach, every summer, gets flooded with foreign students, trying to earn some money so they can put themselves through school. A lot of them come from Russia. Some employers don’t treat them very nicely. Some employers do. I’m glad to say that where I work, we treat them very well.The foreign students who work at Taco Bell seem to be treated well, also. You can tell, because of their attitude to the customers, friendly and positive. It’s part of this shop’s culture. There’s a fried chicken joint just a couple of storefronts down the highway that I don’t care for any more, because of the manager’s attitude towards her employees. I’ve never seen any evidence of that kind of attitude at this particular Taco Bell.That’s why I like the place. That’s why I keep returning.Oh, and the cute little sayings on the hot sauce packets are kinda fun, too.
