Are your freaking kidding me?. This place is like a frat boy who weaseled his way in to a job. The food–meh. Tastes frozen. Maybe they ‘fire’ it in a fancy oven but the oven doesn’t work if your pizza is frozen and tastes like a lesser digiorrno. We’ve tried to patron this place twice as it is a really nice set-up. The outside seating is something for other restaurants to covet, but that’s where the allusion stops. We asked for an Old Fashioned–they didn’t know what it was. The food we got (avoiding the pizza this time) was just lame. And the service was (I’m sure a reflection of management) pathetic. The bar tender, despite lack of knowledge, was very kind and responsive though. (we ended up just going to the bar for drinks since our server seemed to not know we were there). Lastly, as we were told it was last call (at 9:15pm on a Thursday), we stopped by the restrooms on our way out. In retaliation of our insistence on being allowed the common courtesy of using the facilities (and yes, this was immediately after we were told last call, we were not rude or outstaying our welcome, several others were still in the restaurant), the lights were turned out on us and there were giggles that followed. Then we saw the servers as culprits. We are high tippers and kind dinners. This was just a childish act. This place needs to grow up. The newness will fade quickly and people will stop coming here. The only redeeming quality is the faade–
The bartenders are lousy. I used to go every week and they still gave me crappy service so I have quit going. The pizza used to be good, but it sucks now. TVs are lousy. They splice their cable TV from Big Fish Restaurant, so if a Phillies game is on and Big Fish closes, the game turns off. Don’t waste your time going here.
Forgettable… I’m a pizza snob, so was pretty let down when we tried it. Was average at best. Atmosphere was … interesting. Happy hour during the summer is better, but wouldn’t go for dinner again.
Horrible service and cold food. I recently went to firestone for some entertainment on a friday night and was sadly disapponted, First My party and I decided to sit at the outside heated bar which looked very cozy. Bad idea. The heaters weren’t working, the pads on the outdoor furniture were extremely dirty, and there was an awful musk coming from the river near the bar. I lost my appetite and decided to get a drink and go inside. The bartenders are very undereducated on mixology and lacked professional skills. A trained dog can make a screwdriver. I proceeded inside to place an order togo which too 40 mins to come out and was cold as I attempted to nibble on it before I left.I will never waste my time or money on such a low class, unprofessional, and dissatisfing place. Hope something better takes their place.
Went with group of 8. Food all looked good. All tasted marginal. Chicken was dry. Yummy Mac and Cheese wasn’t really yummy. Sweet Patti fluff had to much cinnamon. Tasted like to strong pumpkin pie. Steak was good. Crab fries were nasty. Corn bread was great pizza ok. Patio was nice but furniture very uncomfortable. Seriously I’d rather sit on a rock. 1 beer on tap? Are you kidding. Too bad the patio is really great. I’ll find another place. Service was marginal. Felt like we inconvenienced them when they forgot things or when half of us needed another drink.
Excellent tuna salad and pizza. Good drinks. Inexpensive.
YUMMY!. I went here with my b/f last night and had the pizza with roasted tomato, basil and mozz.–he had a turkey burger with chipotle mustard aoili and sweet potato fries. The food was GREAT! I’m a Jersey girl who is used to NYC haunts. I’m rarely impressed with DE establishments. Even my glass of Firestone Sauv Blanc was deeelish. We will be back. Soon!
