My favorite to go out on date night spot with my wife. Only thing is you have to get a table in the room with the starfish or it can be too noisy. Love the bar area if I am there for drinks or lunch, but can be a bit noisy. It also has a great patio on those good weather days and nights as they are right on the Riverfront and you feel like you are somewhere else than Wilmington.Finally, Chef Banks is the best! I trust all his meals and never order the same thing twice. I go off my comfort level or normalcy in selections when I done here. NEVER has a bad meal here. Never.
Very disappointed. The staff was very friendly and on point. But, Harry my friend, you are only as good as your last service. I believe that you are resting on your laurels. The lobster boil was tasteless, the filet was over cooked, cauliflower mushy, and the shrimp forgettable. The bread, wine and calamari were great. For the finish, our espresso was great, but the gelato was not the right flavor, and a little bit gritty. As thought it had been refrozen. I think that the standards are slipping.
A Nice Evening. We’ve been here a few times and it always delivers. Like other reviews, I would say it’s a bit pricey but is very good. We love sitting outside and just ordering appetizers! We crave the Tuna tartar with truffle salt and ponzu! Doesn’t get any better than that! Service has always been good–at the bar, outside or inside. Their happy hour is pretty good too! Some martinis, wine (actually okay house wine!), and other drinks for just $5. Order a drink, an app, and you’ve got a great evening.
