Horrible Service and Two pieces of pasta for $8-9!. I heard only good things of Toscana from friends at work. The place is decorated really nice. Parking is horrible… but that’s everywhere in Wilmington especially Trolley Square area. Our waitress seemed nice at first, then she rarely came back. Every other table got bread except us. We had to ask and still didn’t get it till we got our meals. When she brought out the Butternut squash soup I though it was a joke. It was like a little scoop of soup in a spoon. For $5, I have had much bigger and better soups at great restaurants in Philly and around the world even! So, this was annoying. It was tasty, but not great and not worth $5. Then I ordered the Mezzaluna pasta. When she brought out a little dish with seriously two little ravioli-type pastas I tried not to laugh out loud. My friend got the Tortellini and she got four pieces and it was pink inside. Again, we were very dissappointed since those dishes were $8 to $9. Ridiculous. I’ll stick with restaurants in Philly where they really know Italian, serving/portion sizes, how to wait on tables and how to be nice to customers. I was not at all impressed with my almost $25 meal. The best part was the wine! Save your money and time. There’s better places out there.

All around BAD. I had been given a gift card to this restaurant. We should have known it was going to be a bad night when I stood at the hostess stand for 15 minutes waiting to get acknowleded. Then they asked me to spell my name. This should have been a 2nd clue since my last name is simple. Let’s just say it is as easy as Jones, Brown or even Smith! Finally after 45 minites, we get seated. The service was probably some of the worst I have EVER had–not to mention SMUG. The food was terrible too. It wasn’t even ALL delivered to the table at the same time. Some of us had to watch others eat. I complained and they told me they wouldn’t charge us for the meal. GREAT! Now I have a whole gift card that is completely useless. I know, you can re-gift it–but I just can’t do that to someone else. This place REALLY is THAT bad!
