My favorite binge food. As a diabetic,i usually avoid fried foods.but after a particularly good week,when my numbers are good and Ii’ve been good this is my favorite way to misbehave.problem is, its so good i can’t stop at one piece.i have been known to order wings to eat while i wait for my order.if i had my way, my diet would consist of Walt’s flavor Crisp and glazed donuts.this is the best chicken!!!its fast, delicious, and addictive.i first got hooked on Walts when it was a little storefront on Pine Street.after all these years its still as good as it was then.i’m getting hungry just thinking about that crispy skin and moist meat!!!!

How is there a KFC a block away?. Nobody really knows how the KFC just a block down the street is still in existence (could be because it is also a Taco Bell). Walt’s Flavor Crisp Chicken Express is just as good as it sounds, if not better. Crispy, juicy, flavorful chicken that is always served piping hot. The service is amazingly quick, and the prices low. They claim that they keep the prices down for people in the neighborhood, and boy do they mean that. A full meal including three pieces of chicken, two sides, and a roll is less than $7.This is easily the best chicken in Delaware. It has won Best Fried Chicken in the state of Delaware for about 25 years running now. There is no stopping the machine that is Walt’s Flavor Crisp Chicken.Queen Latifah has visited the place, her picture is on the wall. My high school driver’s ed teacher would have students drive him to Walt’s every single day for lunch. I used to skip school, make the one mile walk down to Walt’s, and eat the chicken several times per week.It is that delicious. You will not be disappointed.
GOOD Chicken!. Went here after seeing reviews & that it had been voted BEST of Delaware multiple times. It is just a small carry-out building, but the chicken has BIG flavor! The service was fast & friendly and the food was amazing. The chicken was super moist and juicy on the inside. The skin was super crispy and had lots of great flavor. It was served up piping hot too. On a cold January day & after a 5 minute walk back to the car, the chicken stil came out of the bag steaming…literally. It was delicious. We will definately be back!
Chicken. I have been going to Walts for more years than I care to admit because it is the best chicken in the state. I have used them to cater office parties and family get togethers; all of which received great reviews by everyone that attended. They have a great variety of items which satisfied all that attended and the menu is very complete to fit all needs. I’m referring this as the place to go and enjoy… finger licking good. No one has ever left anything on their plates and the pans were empty when the company left the area. Need I have to say anything more???? Eat here and you will see for yourself – best chicken available.
