Backstreet is in a strip mall, but from the inside you could never tell. The decor is sorta hunting lodge chic. Lots of wood and interesting lighting. It will look better when it is worn a little. I liked the blues that were playing. The food was very good. We had oysters to start. They were huge and sweet. Clean and briny. For dinner my husband had the rib eye. Very good steak. So tender you didn’t need a knife. Perfect temperature. I had the lamb. Very, very good. It was accompanied by a mint pesto. Mint can be overwhelming but this wasn’t. It wasnt sweet, but it reminded me of basil pesto, just a little sharper. The lamb was succulent and once again the perfect temp. The cocktail menu was fun. I had a Bellini Martini. Mmmm.My only complaint would be that the pacing of our meal was off. It took way too long for our oysters to come and the entre came out on top of them. But that comes from an inexperienced waitstaff. Just growing pains. The server was very friendly and the owner (?) checked on us. A minor complaint really. We will definitely be back. The food was great
